Attic – Mansard studio

Renovation summary

The project consisted of fully converting an old attic into a furnished mansard studio, completed in January 2026.

• Full removal of old linings, unnecessary partitions and ceilings, exposing the structure up to the roof tiles.
• Repair of roof leaks: replacement of tiles, repair of damaged battens and local corrections to the roof covering.
• Removal of two chimneys.
• Creation of new roof openings: one new Velux in a closed roof area, replacement of three former flat-roof dormers with Velux windows, plus the installation of one double Velux.
• Complete new electrical installation with a dedicated electrical panel for the floor.
• Installation of network cables for LAN, local network and Wi-Fi repeaters.
• New water supply and drainage routes using PER and copper.
• Spray insulation carried out by a specialist company.
• Installation of an air-to-air heat pump.
• Construction of a wooden mezzanine.
• Installation of rails, plasterboard, plaster finishing and painting.
• Kitchen installation.
• Full bathroom installation with walk-in shower, wall-hung toilet, electric towel dryer and tiling.
• Floor build-up with levelling, insulation, screed and laminate flooring.
• Repair of an old door and installation of the entrance door.
• Full furnishing of the studio.
